Excuses don’t get the job done
November 20th, 2009Let’s run through the list of my top 10 excuses for not starting a diet:
1.) Let me eat (insert favorite bad-for-me food item here) just one more time before I have to give it up.
2.) I’m not ready yet.
3.) I don’t have the right foods in the kitchen or at work to support this change
4.) I’m having dinner with friends tomorrow night so will start after that.
5.) I lost a couple of pounds so I can eat what I want today.
6.) A co-worker brought a plate of cookies in so that’s ok.
7.) I got it at the health-food store so it must be ok to eat.
8.) Today will be an all-I-want-to-eat day before the diet.
9.) I already had that breakfast burrito so might as well not diet today.
10.) I had a bad day so deserve (insert favorite bad-for-me food item here)
